Tagaytay-Nasugbu Weekend Getaway: Itinerary

For our wedding anniversary celebration, hubby and I planned on taking the whole family off, with yayas included, to an out-of-town trip. We initially planned for a weekend in Baguio, but with the two kids clamoring to be taken to a beach, we discarded the idea and opted to go instead to Tagaytay and the nearby beaches of Nasugbu, Batangas. Here was our original itinerary:

Original Itinerary
Day 1 – Manila-Tagaytay
Breakfast at Picnic Grove
Mahogany Market
Check-in at Tagaytay Haven Hotel
Visit Sky Ranch
Dinner at Diner's

Day 2 – Tagaytay-Nasugbu
Buffet breakfast c/o hotel
Swim at the hotel's indoor pool
Check-out of the hotel
Lunch at Leslie's (or the likes)
Pass by Sonya's Garden/Bakery for meriendas
Visit Caleruega
Check-in at Munting Buhangin Beach Camp, Nasugbu
Dinner

Day 3 – Nasugbu-Manila
Breakfast
Swim!
Drive back to Tagaytay
Pass by Bag of Beans for pasalubongs
Pass by Rowena's for pasalubongs as well

When we reached Tagaytay, and taking a lot of things into account like budget, kids loving the pool, the weather, et cetera, our itinerary was later revised to:

Revised Itinerary

Check-in at Tagaytay Haven Hotel

Visit Sky Ranch
Lunch at the hotel (left overs + Jollibee)
Swim!
Drive around and look for places of interest
Dinner at Eway's Grill

Day 3 – Tagaytay-Nasugbu-Manila
Breakfast c/o hotel
Check-out
Visit Paradizoo
Visit Caleruega
Nasugbu common beach
Lunch at Nasugbu
Drive back to Tagaytay

We scratched the Munting Buhangin part because we figured that the kids will enjoy the indoor pool at the hotel much better than the salty water of the sea. Plus, they don't have a pool in Munting Buhangin, although they're sharing the same shoreline as the famed Punta Fuego).

As with any planned events, however, there are always things that we cannot foresee – read, me being sick in the middle of the night. Though we were unable to follow our itinerary to the dot, we were at least assured that we had a great time that weekend and that its purpose of family bonding has been achieved.

Stay tuned for my next posts about our Tagaytay-Nasugbu Weekend!
