Hi there! My name is Katherine Valerie, or just Val for short, mother to 2 adorable boys Alec (aged 4) and Caleb (aged 3). I'm currently employed as a researcher to a topnotch financial firm. Prior job experiences include being a customer care agent and a professional medical representative, both hinting of my love for traveling and meeting people. My interests are widely varied, ranging from indoor activities such as reading Robert Ludlum novels, making beaded accessories, playing PC games, theater acting (when I was still single) to outdoor activities like mountaineering with my old travel buddies.

About the Blog

This blog is a product of my love for traveling. This was not made to showcase my exemplary writing skills (on the contrary, I believe I am just mediocre in that area) and I'm not even a writer by profession. This was meant to chronicle and to share, if you will, what I learned from my travel experiences with friends and mostly with my husband, especially when we have our 2 kids in tow.

Why MomExplorer?

Curiosity has always been part of human nature. And because of this curiosity, we have the urge to explore. Since I was a kid, I have always wanted to explore new things. It had stayed with me as I grew up, gotten older, until now that I'm already a mom. This includes traveling to different places, meeting different types people from all walks of life, learning about their culture and doing all that with my family.
