Sweet Ambet's: Puerto Princesa Restaurants

Day 3:  Merienda at Sweet Ambet's

After dropping by Immaculate Conception Cathedral and Plaza Cuartel, we walked around in search for a place where we can eat merienda. We passed by Sweet Ambet's signage and we went in to have a taste of its chaolong.

Sweet Ambet's

It is an open-air garden restaurant, serving authentic Vietnamese menu and grilled food. They have a stage on one side of the covered dining area, so I'm guessing they also have acts or bands playing here at night. They also have Wi-Fi here. The only down side is that there are mosquitos roaming about, waiting for a chance to bite you. It would have been better if they have mosquito repellents like scented oil or candles burning. They have ceiling fans though, which were also good for shooing the pests away. We ordered their chaolong priced at Php50.

Now, it was my first time to eat chaolong, so I really don't really have any idea how it's supposed to taste. It just tastes great, period. It consists of flat noodles in beef broth which is a little sweet. It also has tender beef bits, crisp bean sprouts, fresh mint leaves and you can add chili if you want it in a more spicy flavor.

We wanted to stay longer here to hang out more (hubby was eyeing the stage with microphone, planning to ask about the stage activities) but we still planned on strolling by the Baywalk, so off we went.
