Kid Activity: Morning Jog at Camp Aguinaldo

Physical activity is always good for all ages, especially for children. It offers heaps of benefits such as boosting the immune system, strengthening bones and muscles and enhancing overall physical development. It also helps in improving their psychological well-being such as gaining higher self-esteem and self-confidence.

Jogging at Camp Aguinaldo Grandstand

Having this in mind, we brought our two children along in one of our Saturday morning jogs at the Camp Aguinaldo grandstand. Since we live nearby, we started our warm up by walking all the way from our house along 20th Avenue to the grandstand, entering Camp Aguinaldo via its Gate 1 civilian entrance at 15th Avenue.

Upon reaching the grandstand, the two boys went off, running after the small birds that are trying to rest on the grassy field at the middle of the tracks. There are also other families present. Some elderly ones are taking a leisurely stroll, others with children are playing around with soccer ball, while some even brought their dogs with them.

We spent the better part of the morning just running around, pausing for just a few minutes to catch our breath and then run around again, following anything that catches their attention. Our two boys just can't seem to get enough of running, making me wonder, as I always do, where they get all that energy.

After all the running, the little boys posed for pictures beside the guns placed around the area. We just called it a day when we felt that the sun is already way up in the sky for comfort.

This is a very great family bonding activity without spending much as you can bring some snacks with you (in our case, it's a free one)! Not only will you get your dose of physical activity such as exercise and/or jogging, it's also a chance for your kids to learn a bit about their environment and our history.

General Info About Camp Aguinaldo
